Skin Care Begins on the Inside

Along with using nutrient rich skin care products such as Mug for Men, there are also several foods that a person can eat for a positive affect on the skin just as there are also several foods that harm the skin.

First lets talk about what is bad for your skin: white foods (not foods that white people eat) but processed foods like white sugar, white pasta, white bread and white rice. I don't need to get all scientific about how they harm you, but the bottom line is they cause collagen to become inflamed and harden and thus cause wrinkles.

The good food you can eat for your skin: - Leafy green vegetables (but don't eat them before a date without taking some Beano) are a great skin protector because they contain lutein. Spinach is an excellent source of lutein and if you ever noticed, Popeye's cheeks were not wrinkly or sagging but plump and rosy. - Tomatoes contain lycopene, a potent antioxidant that protects the skin from sun damage. - Wild Salmon is a free radical killer (not the 60's type).

Eating one serving every 5 days can prevent pre-cancerous skin lesions. - Citrus Fruits are packed with Vitamin C for collagen production as well as bioflavonoids protecting the skin from UV rays. - Sweet Potatoes contain beta-carotene, which balance the skin's pH, helping promote cell turnover, keeping the skin hydrated resulting in healthy, smoother looking skin.

A sound diet along with a skin supplement regimen of vitamins, antioxidants and collagen promoting peptides such as the ingredients found in Mug's products will keep your skin healthy and smooth for many years to come.

Stay Healthy My Friends!
